How to personalise data captured at the end of Surveys

This article will explain how you can edit the way survey responses are submitted and what information is captured at the end of your survey.

  1. Select the Surveys Module from the black bar at the top of the screen.
  2. If you are creating a new survey, select Add Survey on the left hand side from within the Surveys: Search Screen. If you are editing an existing Survey you will need to select the Survey you wish to edit, and then select Edit Survey on the left hand side.
  3. If you scroll down to the section of the form titled Survey Responses, you will be able to amend the following information:
  • Anonymous Responses – This will determine if contacts can submit a response anonymously. You can select Yes, No or Optional. The Optional selection will give contacts the choice to submit their survey response anonymously or not.
  • Request Organisation Name? – You can select whether the survey will ask for the contacts organisation name. If you select Yes you can tick if you want the question to be mandatory.
  • Request Demographic Data? You can select demographic information that you want the survey to ask for and if you select Yes, you can tick if these questions are mandatory. *PLEASE NOTE – The demographic information you see here will depend on the demographic fields switched on within your ADD CONTACT form. If you need to amend/switch additional demographic fields on, one of your system admin users can do this through System admin and Field Configuration.
  • Request Communication Preferences? You can choose whether the survey asks contacts to select their communication preferences. For example, whether they would like to subscribe to newsletters of event information.
  • Request Postcode – If you select Yes, the survey will ask the contact to provide their postcode. You can also make this question mandatory.
  • Display Partial Responses? If you answer Yes, this will allow contacts to submit surveys that have been partially completed.

Once you are happy click Save at the bottom of the form, create your survey, and any of your chosen questions will be asked on the final page of your survey once published.
