New Email Builder - Including a Merge Tag
Merge tags pull details from your Contact records directly into your Event invite email. This adds a personal touch to every email sent to your stakeholders.
- Start by adding a content block to your email that includes a text field. This includes the Title, Paragraph, List, Table and Button content blocks.
- Click into the text field to display a text options menu (this will be in dark blue, by the text field). Merge tags are available in the Merge Tags option on this menu.
- Choose the tag you want to include from the six available options:
- First Name: This will include the first name for the Contact that receives your email wherever you place the tag.
- Last Name: As above, but the last name/surname will be displayed instead.
- Known As: This will use the Contact’s preferred name, taken from the “Known As” field in their Contact record.
- Organisation Name: If the Contact is associated with an Organisation in their record, this tag will display the full name of that Organisation.
- Email: The Contact’s email address.
- Date: This tag will display the date that the email is sent.
You can include as many merge tags as you need in your email, so experiment with these to make your stakeholder communications more personal and engaging.
