Activity Attachments

Create, view and delete attachments for your Activities

An Activity can have documents attached to support or provide further context for your stakeholder interaction. This article shows you how to add attachments to your Activities, how to download them, and how to delete them when no longer needed.

Adding an Activity Attachment

Adding an Activity Attachment is done on the View Activity page. This is the same for any type of Activity.

If using Tractivity on a computer, you can drag a file from your device’s folders onto the Add Attachment pane. After dropping the file into this window, click Upload to add the attachment, or click Clear to cancel the upload. Alternatively, you can click the grey Browse button to open your device’s file explorer, where you can then select a file from your folders.

Viewing Activity Attachments

You can find Activity Attachments in the following places:

  • On the View Activity page, the Activity’s Attachments will appear on the Activity Attachments tab.
  • On the View Contact, View Organisation and View Enquiry pages, all Attachments from any associated Activities will appear on the Activity Attachments tab.

Each Attachment will display its name, the associated Activity, the date it was created and the type of file. For certain types of Activity, you can also tag Issues against the attachment. You can click the file name to load the View Activity Attachment page, which displays all details of the Attachment.

To download the file, just click View, or on the View Activity Attachment page, click the File Name or the download icon.

Deleting Activity Attachments

Deleting attachments is easy – just click Delete Activity Attachment on the View Activity Attachment page. This appears on the left-hand menu.

Please note: Any deleted Activity Attachments are deleted permanently. Be sure to download the attachment before deleting if you may need it at a later time.
