Email Builder - How to link files via File Manager

Add links to documents and other files to your emails

Adding files to your File Manager allows you to easily access documents and images for use in your emails. The steps below cover how to access the File Manager and add files to your emails.

 

Start from any area in the email which contains text. This includes any Paragraph, Title, Table, List or Button content blocks in your email. Navigate to the ‘’chain’’ symbol in the black pop-up box. This will read Insert/Edit link when you hover over it. Click this to open the Insert Link menu.

This menu will default to the Link Type of URL. Click on this to open the drop-down menu for Link Type, and choose File Manager instead. The File Manager will then open.

The File Manager is where any images or other documents saved to the Email Builder can be located. From here, either use the Upload button in the top-left hand corner of the screen, or select a previously uploaded file from the File Manager. Once you have your file ready, click Insert

Check or uncheck the Underline Link checkbox based on how you prefer to have the link text appear.

You can enter the text you want for this link in the Text to Display field. Title can be used to add alt text when the link is hovered over with the mouse cursor. The Target field determines if clicking the link wll open the file in a new window or inside the current window.
