Email Builder - Desktop/Mobile View - Hide Content

Emails can be designed to appear differently if viewed on a mobile device or a computer. This article explains how to do this for your emails using our Email Builder.

 

 

Desktop View allows you to view an email as it will appear when opened on a Desktop. Mobile View allows you to view an email as it will appear when opened on a Mobile Phone.

Changing between Desktop View and Mobile View

In the top left-hand corner of the email builder, you will have a Desktop symbol and a Mobile symbol. You can change between Desktop and Mobile view by selecting these symbols.

Hiding content in either Desktop or Mobile view

Select the view you wish to hide the content from - Desktop View or Mobile View.
Then click on the content you want to hide to open the Content Properties tab

Once you have opened the Content Properties tab, scroll to the end of the tab to see the Hide on option. Click on the Desktop symbol to hide the content from Desktop View, or click on the Mobile symbol to hide the content from Mobile View.

Visibility toggle

In the top left-hand corner of the email builder, you will have an eye symbol. You can change between:

• Visibility On - This will allow you to see the hidden content in the opposite view (it will appear blurred out. For example, you will see hidden content ‘blurred out’ on Mobile View in the Desktop View.

• Visibility Off - This will allow you to hide the hidden content completely.
