Settings Tab

Adjust your emails' properties to your liking

The Settings tab in the Email Builder is where you can find options for customising the whole of your email. This article walks through how to use these tools for building your own emails.

 

Please note: Adjusting these settings may affect the visiblity or formatting of your email on some devices or email apps. Be especially sure to test your emails before sending to stakeholders when the Settings have been modified.

You will find the Settings tab available on the right hand side of the Email Builder. Click this to switch over to the Settings tab. The following options are available to use:

  • Content Area Width - Adjust the width of your email. The default is 600 pixels.
  • Content Area Alignment - Adjust the mailshot to align to the left or the centre of the space.
  • Background Colour - Change the background colour by typing the HEX code into the background colour box, or by opening the colour picker and selecting which colour you would prefer. You can also select to make the background transparent. Just click on the checkered box in the colour picker to do this. This option is usually for seeing how your email displays against different backgrounds or in different browsers.
  • Content Area Background Colour - The Content Area is the background of the body of your email, where your content such as text, images and menus appear etc. You can type the HEX code for your desired colour, or use the colour picker to select the most appropriate colour. 
  • Default Font - Choose the font for your email from some commonly-seen options. The font of any text in your email can be adjusted again on a text-by-text basis. 
  • Link Colour - Choose the colour that any links in your email will be highlighted in. As before, you can type a HEX code or use the colour picker to choose your link text's colour.
