Get in touch from South Africa

Whether you are running public participation for an environmental authorisation, an IDP and budget process, or a mining right and social and labour plan, the first conversation is the same one. Show us what you have to evidence, and we will show you how the system records it. We have been doing that for regulated organisations since 2002.

Talk to us about a project

Pick a slot and you'll speak to Mark Rutter, our Sales Director, rather than having a qualifying call.

Bring a live project if you have one, because a demonstration run against your own participation process is worth more than a tour of the software.

Contact Customer Support

Already working with us? Your named Client Success Manager is the first call, and there is no limit to how often you contact them.

If you do not have their details to hand, call the team on +44 1629 815928 or contact customer support.

Security and POPIA questionnaires

Information officers, compliance leads and procurement teams can skip the demo. We answer questionnaires in writing, including cross-border transfer and operator agreement questions, and indicate where an answer is not yet settled. Read the security and compliance page, then book a slot and attach your questionnaire.

Opening hours in South African time

Our team works United Kingdom hours. South Africa is one hour ahead of us between late March and late October, and two hours ahead for the rest of the year. A 9am start in the United Kingdom is 10am or 11am in Johannesburg, so we are available from mid-morning South African time into the early evening.

The booking calendar defaults to the United Kingdom time zone. You can change it in the selector at the top of the calendar before you choose a slot, so you book the demonstration in your time zone.

What this means for a South African tender

Tractivity is based in the United Kingdom. We do not have a South African office, a South African entity or South African staff. On a scored tender, that has three consequences, and we would rather you heard them from us. We hold no B-BBEE recognition level, so we score nothing on that element. We are not yet registered on the Central Supplier Database. And our support runs on United Kingdom hours, as above. The same position is set out on our pricing page.

What we do have is two South African clients, more than 20 years spent building the product, and a platform already holding statutory engagement records for regulated organisations across the United Kingdom and Europe.

Whether that is a good trade depends on what your tender weights, and it is a fair question to put to us directly.

What happens after you get in touch

We reply to every message within one working day. If you book a slot, you get a calendar invitation straight away and a short note asking what you would like to see. If you send a questionnaire, you get an acknowledgement and a date by which the written answer will come back. If you ask a question, you get an answer rather than a brochure.

If the conversation goes further, implementation runs four to six weeks on average from contract to launch, covering data migration, configuration and training. That is an average, not a guarantee, and it depends as much on you as on us, particularly on how quickly the existing register can be handed over.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in South Africa? No. We are a company based in the United Kingdom and have no South African entity or staff. We support South African clients from the United Kingdom.
Are you B-BBEE recognised? No. We hold no recognition level, so on a tender scored under the Amended Codes we score nothing on that element. Where a bid requires it we would need a South African partner or reseller, and we are open to that conversation.
Are you registered on the Central Supplier Database? Not yet, and we will not claim otherwise.
Can our data be hosted in South Africa? The platform runs on Microsoft Azure, in the United Kingdom region by default, with European, United States and other regions available. POPIA does not require local hosting, but the National Policy on Data and Cloud and most public sector and state-owned enterprise tenders increasingly do, so raise it early and we will answer in writing. Our full position is on the security and compliance page.
Who will we actually speak to? Mark Rutter, our Sales Director, takes the first conversation. If you become a client, you are assigned a named Client Success Manager who stays with you.
How quickly can you respond to a tender? Tell us the closing date when you first write. Written answers to a security or POPIA questionnaire come back by a stated date rather than a promised number of hours, because the honest answer sometimes needs our technical director.

Ready to evidence your participation?

If you are answering a tender question about POPIA, a comments and responses report or an audit trail, start with the POPIA guide.

Alternatively, book a demonstration and see your live project inside the platform.
